Humboldt Council of the Blind

Reading Service of the Redwoods

The Reading Service of the Redwoods, (RSR), provides on-air reading of local newspapers and other printed materials for the community members who are blind, visually impaired, homebound or who have disabilities which make it difficult to read printed matter.
This "access to print" gives RSR listeners the opportunity to participate more actively and fully in their communities.

Our Audience:
RSR reaches approximately 40,000 homes in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties via cable TV systems. Beginning in January 2007, the service will be aired on KHSU's second audio channel.

You can listen to the RSR program on KEET-TV's SAP audio channel. Or on KHSU second audio channel with a special receiver. Contact RSR to apply for a special receiver or use the link below to download a printable PDF application file.
