Go back to school in HSU's Over-60 Program Indulge your interest in a wide variety of subjects, and you won't have to worry about tests or grades. Try ceramics, drawing, painting or photography. Would you like to learn another language? Mais, oui! How about French, Spanish, or German? Want to look at our world in a different way? There's geology, botany and oceanography. Maybe your liking is philosophy, economies, US foreign policy or international relations. These are just a few courses you could choose to take. Whether you want to learn for the sake of learning or want to pursue a degree, Humboldt State University (HSU) has a special program for you. If you are older than 60 years of age and a California resident, you may enroll in the Over-60 Program at HSU for $6 per semester. HSU Over-60 Program participants enjoy student benefits like full library privileges, notification of special speakers or events on campus and student discounts. Application deadline for the fall session is August 18. Plan to attend an Over-60 Program Orientation on August 28, 8:30 a.m. in the Goodwin Forum at HSU. Help is available for registering on-line the week of Aug. 28 at HSU or Monday, Aug. 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Humboldt Resource Senior Center in Eureka. If you would like more information about the program or an application, please contact Lydia Frick, HSU Degree Evaluator, 707-826-6198, or Pam Zeutenhorst, VCOR/RSVP Placement Coordinator, 707-442-3711.
