Dennison named to Aging Commission

Mary E Dennison, Eureka resident, has been appointed to the California Commission on Aging (CCOA) by Gov. Gray Davis. Dennison is also a Senior Senator in the California Senior Legislature, representing Humboldt and Del Norte counties.

"I am pleased and proud to receive this appointment," said Dennison. "I look forward to working on issues like health care, transportation and housing. It is important to me that the needs of rural Californians are represented at the state level."

Dennison holds a master's degree in nursing administration from UC San Francisco. Prior to retirement, she served as Director of Public Health Nursing in Humboldt County. She has a varied professional career including work in acute care, office nursing and teaching.
