Outdoor adventures

A new senior to our area, Sue Brandenburg, would like to know if there is any interest in having a local, once-monthly "outdoor adventure" for active, fit seniors. The level of fitness required for any given activity would be described as either: [A] difficult: steep or heavy terrain; [B] moderate: able to hike at least 1-2 miles uphill or 4-5 miles on flat terrain; or [C] Easy: flat surface walking. Her suggestions for possible outings include Lady Bird Johnson Grove (levels C and B), Patricks Point-Sumeg Village (levels C and B), and the Lanphere Dunes (level C). Carpooling would be necessary, and gasoline costs would be shared. Please call the Activity Dept. at 707-443-9747 ext. 228 if this interests you.

When you arrive for an activity, please check the big white board at our lobby stairwell (or ask the greeter) for any scheduling or room changes. Last-day changes are usually posted in the elevator or outside the elevator doors (time allowing). Other special events may be added during the month. For information, call 707-443-9747, ext. 228.
