Northcoast Redwoods Writers Conference set
The second Northcoast Redwoods Writers Conference has been scheduled for Sept. 6 and 7 in Crescent City.
Keynote speakers will be Jane Kirkpatrick and Margaret Kirk, and workshops will be presented by Bill Johnson, Elizabeth Lyon, Derrick Jensen, Bradd Hopkins, Jessica Inclan, Linda Allen, Clive Matson, Dan Logan, Joan Dunning, Larry Ulrich, Pamela Service and David Dunn.
Seven workshops and the keynote speaker are planned for Friday night. Twenty-one workshops are scheduled for Saturday along with a second keynoter and roundtable discussions with authors. Authors' books sales will continue both days.
Workshop topics include publisher/author relationships, freelance writing, publishing on the Internet, pros and cons of self publishing, writing an experience-basedbook, writing about nature, poetry, agent/author relationship, science fiction for the young reader, editing and working with photographers and illustrators.
