Eel River Alzheimer's Resources
by Maggie Kraft

The Alzheimer's Day Care Resource Center is pleased to announce two new locations for the community to access resources regarding Alzheimer's disease. We have partnered with the Healy Senior Center in Redway to provide a small resource library at 456 Briceland Road, Redway. There is now also a resource library at Fortuna Adult Day Health Services, 2280 Newburg Road in Fortuna.

Copies of some of the most popular books and videos are available from these lending libraries. For more information, call the Healy Senior Center at 923-2399, or drop by Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. In Fortuna, call the social workers at Adult Day Health Services, 725-6927, or drop by Monday through Thursday, 9 to 4 p.m. or Fridays 9 to 2 p.m.

The Alzheimer's Day Care and Resource Center is a program of the Humboldt Senior Resource Center and serves both Del Norte and Humboldt counties. Partial funding for this program is provided through a grant from the Area Agency on Aging.

Maggie Kraft is director of the Alzheimer's Resource Center, 707-444-8254.
