Take Charge of Your Life: Living with Vision Loss
by Joan E. Sikkens
Take Charge of Your Life: Living with your Vision Loss is a series of weekly programs produced by the Reading Service of the Redwoods, which will air Thursdays and Fridays through September. We'll talk about making your home safer, using lighting effectively, and managing your medications. We'll even go grocery shopping and do some cooking.
To hear the programs, tune to KEET-TV, Channel 13, at 11 a.m. and switch on your SAP (Second Audio Program) on your TV or VCR. If you miss the Thursday and Friday programs, you can hear them the following week on Monday and Tuesday, also at 11 a.m.
These informational programs are produced by the Reading Service of the Redwoods in collaboration with the Rose Resnick LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Joan Sikkens is executive director of Reading Service of the Redwoods. Her e-mail is Sikkensje@aol.com, and phone is 707-839-1452.
