Ride the Bus
Make riding a bus a comfortable and easy way to travel
by Thea Gast
Come to a Senior Bus Day to learn about bus schedules, routes, transfers and fares. Take a five-minute bus ride to become familiar with the procedure for boarding and paying.
Mark your calendar to attend one of the following Senior Bus Days:
- Arcata Lunch Site, Wednesday, April 14, 10:30 a.m., 321 Community Parkway
- Fortuna Lunch Site, Wednesday, April 28, 10:30 a.m., 2130 Smith Lane
- McKinleyville Senior Center, Wednesday, May 5, 10:30 a.m., 1620 Pickett Road
- Humboldt Senior Resource Center (Eureka), Wednesday, May 12, 10:30 a.m., 1910 California Street
A free bus ticket will be given to those who participate. Come. Save your gas money. Ride the bus.
Representatives from the Humboldt Transit Authority and city bus services will offer basic information on riding the bus, routes, schedules, purchasing tickets or passes, and will give a brief description of alternative transportation for those unable to ride the bus.
