Senior Friends Nominate people who help people The Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is soliciting nominations for the 2005 Senior Friend Awards. AAA annually presents the Senior Friend Awards to individuals and organizations in recognition of positive efforts on behalf of elders in Humboldt and Del Norte counties. There are two levels of eligibility, organization and individual: Organization: an established entity or an informal group that has contributed significantly to older adults in our area. Individual: a person who has contributed significantly to older adults in a professional or voluntary capacity. A person's age is not part of the selection criteria. Members of the AAA board, advisory councils, staff, and employees of AAA subcontractors are not eligible to receive the awards. Nominations may be submitted by members of the community or organizations. Completed nomination forms must be returned to the AAA office, 3300 Glenwood St., Eureka, CA 95501, by 4:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, 2005. For more information contact Suzy Smith at 442-3763. |
