Happy new millennium
If Y2K problems occur, they will not just happen one day and be over. They could go on. We will have the unknown hanging over our heads for months. The material of our lives may not be torn asunder, but there are likely to be broken threads here and there; and we won't know just where the next one might break from day to day. Nor will we know quickly whether it is just a thread or enough that it requires a patch and of what size. But, we are prepared. Some good things have happened in preparing for uncertainty. Our
emergency people, just back from a week's intensive training by FEMA, are
talking and working together as never before. Whether the emergency is
Y2K, As a community we have learned more about how we work. The numerous presentations by government and business representatives have given us insight into who has responded in a timely manner to a possible problem and how. If you've particular questions you need answers to, feel free to call the place connected to your question. People in every organization are happy to help you.
