Surf for Life The Area Agency on Aging celebrates 20 years in the community with showings April 30 of Surfing for Life, a documentary featuring local 93-year-old surfer Doc Ball. Surfing for Life is the uplifting story of some very special older people who maintain a passion for surfing into their 80s and 90s. Join us for a benefit showing at the Minor Theatre in Arcata at noon April 30th or at 7 p.m. in Southern Humboldt, place to be announced. A reception following the Arcata showing will be held at the Jambalaya and will feature Doc Ball and filmmaker Roy Earnest. Tickets are $10. Auction items include two Yakima racks.
